I'm going to the Bahamas tomorrow morning for a well deserved vacation. Can't wait to go to Atlantis to see the Aquariums there. I hear they more than rock. I'm also going snorkeling in Nassau....Real Reef's have got to be the ultimate view of corals and fish. Anyone been to the Bahamas lately? I'd like to hear some stories.

    Ride the big one!!!

Make sure you call Atlantis in advance about touring their aquariums. My friend and I almost didn't get to see anything because we weren't guests at the hotel and arrived just as they were closing off the public aquarium section to tourists. That was several years ago though so they might not be so restrictive anymore.

I found diving in the Bahamas to be somewhat dull. You'll see a lot of brain corals and sea fans but don't expect to see what we see in our tanks. Lots of fish though.

    Have fun!

I was there two years ago on a cruise. The Manta Ray Display is SICK!!! Man now Im jealous I went before I really got into the hobby so I would enoy it a thousand times more now that I am so much more knowledgable. I didn't go scuba diving I thought we could certify on the cruise and was heavily dissappointed when I learned you had to be pre certified. Have a great time and show us some pics when you get back :cheesy:

Copy the call in at Atlantis. We have booked the tour and the Scuba diving. I have been planning since August so I have everything in order. Thanks.

Manta's should be totally Rad. I am in to those as much as corals and other fish. Should be a good trip. Will drop pics on return.

    Thanks.

I agree, East end of Grand Cayman is far superior.

also triple whatever your food budget is...$75 a day for 3 meals a day per person will be close

Copy that on the food. I hear the tips are 15% per person.

BTW I'll be spending most of my time "Swimmin With Bow Legged Women"!!!!!! LOL

I stayed at an all inclusive resort so food/drinks were included. I can also warn you to not stray too far from the resort area(s). It's not safe "out there" :D
