Going to be a LONGGG winter

Winter just began and I am already tired of it! I dont think we got an inch of snow on Sunday (but had horrific blowing winds). On Monday my normal 30 minute commute to work took over 2 hours. Now we are getting an ice storm that is just begining and the news is already saying to not go out tonight because it is sheets of ice and already a ton of wrecks........cant wait until the commute tomorrow. Might as well leave for work now...might be able to get there by 8am if I leave now

 

That sucks about the commute and even more so the ice storms.

They predicting the possibility of flooding from the central Cascades to the central Sierra. We're supposed to have a 5 day rain event. Sounds like a crazy long winter for everyone.

At least you don't enjoy a 2 hour long commute all year long like we do here in LA 8)

 

I cant imagine! I think if I lived there you would hear on the national news woman goes bizark on the highway and shoots a bazoka at dumb drivers

Being originally from LA, and remembering leaving my house a 4AM for a 8AM dentist appointment...I enjoy every second of "traffic" here. When it takes me 30 minutes to drive 15 miles to work, that is an easy commute. But still, people here complain about the "crazy traffic" and "awful commute" times. If they only knew.

Winter sucks here too. No snow, however, we rarely get any that isn't "here today, gone tomorrow," but it has been in the teens each day I wake up, and it is WAY to damn early for those temps...late Jan or Feb is normal for those temps. This winter is going to be bad.

 

We already have snow on the ground here in Richmond from earlier this week and they are calling for another 4-6 inches today. I am already over it. I hate the snow!

 

Montana likes to make life interesting here. One day it can be 40* yes it was 40 here in December! Then it will start to snow with a furry like no other then drop to -20*. Love itttt
