The Home Depots in northern california do not carry the famous highdesert play sand so i am going to venture off to other garden stored in search of an alternative. Because I am impatient, im probably going to bring a few water bottles with a little vinegar in each to do a vinegar test while im there but what else do i need to check for in the sand? thanks

It's used to see if its limestone based. The acid will dissolve the limestone releasing CO2 I believe.
