My gold band maroon keeps going back and fourth from the long tentical anemone to the Duncan coral. Will this cause harm or kill the Duncan? The Duncan doesn't close up or seem bothered by it.

That is pretty cool....I guess you could watch for signs of whether the clown is bothering it. If it starts to look stressed, then you could be concerned. Your clown has brilliant color as does your coral beauty.

+1 As long as the heads stay open, I would not be concerned. If they are staying closed, or even partially closed, then yes I would start to be concerned. Also, just to be technical, the Duncans are hosting the clown (since if you invite people to your house, they don't host you!) :p

Mine do the same, They switch back and forth between my Elegance and Duncan coral. They have been doing this for at least six months and I have zero ill effects on the Duncan and Elegance Corals.

It usually will not end well.Maroons can be extra rough on corals. The fact that he leaves it alone for periods of time may help.:-/

Thank you. I waited until I found the perfect color on my coral beauty. I've seen a lot that aren't that great looking. I was searching for a gold band maroon for awhile and when I saw the color I grabbed him. There 15 clowns and that one looked a lot better then the rest. It's pretty neat to watch him switch from the Duncan to the LTA. I'm getting an elegance soon so he's gonna have a tough time choosing. Lol. Thanks for all the helpful replies and yes, the Duncan is hosting the clown :cheesy:

I have to agree with vinny, usually it doesn't end well. while its cool to see, i'd try to separate them just in case.
