What a bonehead fish! LOL! That cyclopeeze stuff is so small as to be kind of ridiculous fish food! My Dottyback looks at it when I feed my clam and looks at me and laughs!!!

Altho, the bigger tang eats it right up!!! LOL! Have you tried live brine? Anyhoo....glad it is finally eating something for you! I also feed my guys chopped up raw "people" shrimp when I make it for dinner...they like that.

Yeah he is a bit silly. He is using my ricordia as an anemone right now. I did not want to buy anything for the tank before we left. I plan to get a Rose Anemone when we return for him. We shall see if he likes it. He is attached to the green ricordia though.

I do also throw in a few pieces of shrimp when we have some. My Scopas loves it. The clown did not care for it to much. Too bad for hi. Has no idea what he is missing. ;D

He is now eating frozen brine and blood worms, along with some bio-blend pellets, cyclo and flakes. He turned around really quick. He has yet to be aggressive to any of the other fish. I hope he stays that way. he is intimidated it seems by the Scopas and Flame. Hopefully he stays that way.

    Thanks yet again Birdlady.

Wondering if you're trying to feed your clam Cyclopeeze? If you are, you may not be aware that that food product is too large for the clam to consume. :)

Hope you've got plans for a bigger tank 'cause the 46 gallon, if I'm reading this right, is way too small for your Scopas.  75 gallons and 48" of lateral swim room are minimums for tangs.

As AC indicated BL, the cyclopeze is too large for your clam to filter.  "BioPlankton" contains 10 billion phytoplankton cells per ml and is what you need to properly nourish your filter feeders.  Check it out at:

OK, well now, somebody told me to feed it cyclopeeze!!! Drat! I do also have the DT's live Phyto....is that OK? I can get the liquid life at my LFS, but is is frozen dead stuff. Is the DT's the right thing also?

    Thanks!!!

DT's Phytoplankton will work also, but I prefer the BioPlankton.

    Morning everyone.

Craig, I do plan to put the Scopas in another tank. I realized when I purchased him that he would need a bigger tank. That is why I have a 75 on hand that is ready for him. It will be plenty for him. I have added 30lbs of live rock in there for him too and one big piece of base rock with a cave through it for him also. So he will be happy in there I'm sure. If not, he can go in the custom tank we will be building here shortly. The size has been bouncing between a 500g or more. I told my wife she could decide. :)
