I have to opportunity to get a free Golden-headed Sleeper Goby but I need to know if it will survive and be able to sift my crushed coral substrate? I have read many reviews about goby's sifting sand but nothing confirms that they can handle/live with crushed coral! Please help, he is free if I pick him up tomorrow.

I would skip it. Not only can the crushed coral damage its gills but I have found that these fish very often starve to death in our tanks, even if/when they eat prepared foods.

I had a mated pair a while back. They need live sand to sift , cc would be way to big. Plus your tank has to be enclosed to keep them in. One of mine jumped and the other vanished in the tank.
