Hey guys, my friend was over for a little bit, he's a hobbyist too, he's really into cichlids... off topic, lol... Well after he left I went to check on the fish and my firefish wasn't there, I stayed up until 12:30am taking out the live rock and looking in the live rock and stirring up the sand with a skewer to make sure he wasn't burried. My tank has a lid and I have a Clownfish and a Scooter Blenny (incase either of them ate it). I checked the wet/dry filter, and all around my tank! It's nowhere to be found... any suggestions? I'm just waiting to find a little fishy skeleton.

it may have been in a rock crevices, and didn't move when picked up the rock.

ive had a couple fish stick in rocks, during switching tanks.

I use to have a Firefish and went through the same thing you did, I pretty much gave up and went to bed. The Next morning, he was swimming around as if nothing happened. Sometimes, when they want to hide, they can hide REALLY well.

I wouldn't get after your tank like that when a fish has become a missing person. Especially a burrower. The risks outweigh the benefits by far.
