Goniopora doing weird things...

    I look one minute and its fully expanded and looking good....look again 10 mins later and the side of it looks inflated and it has retracted back in the skeleton. It has started to come back out but it still concerns me. Anyone have an idea what is going on?

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    I am guessing probably just exchanging fluid, remove metabolic waste and aids in gas exchange, probably sloughs off debris.

    Mine used to do it every few days mostly at night though.

    Just a guess.

    Seems as if the Goni is doing it almost every day now. It looks healthy other than when this happens. Could it be too much water flow on it?
