I dont mean to sound negative nor am I jinxing you, but you've only had it for 2 months or so. They have been known to last up to 8-9 months in an aquarium, so I wish you luck with it.

I described that. You turn off all flow and then with a turkey baster or something simular you create a cloud of food over and encompassing the entire creature so each head has the opportunity to feed. There is a trick to it because if you just blast the food at it the polyps retract. Another method, if you don't like that one, is to find the appropriate size like milk container (plastic) or pop bottle and cut the top and bottom off then place that over the colony so the colony is contained inside and no flow can disrupt it and then feed. The latter is cumbersome.

    Thanks for the feed back

Thanks to everyone for the information. I'm very dissappointed in Vivid Aquariums for their incorrect listing for both Ganiopora and Alveopora. They list the care for these corals as "Easy" and "Moderate". I'll be scratching them off of my stocking list.

Is there a really good source where we can get the real facts about the care and placement of corals? Had I not ask the question about placement, I would have not known how fragile these corals are.
