We bought a beautiful goniopora at Macna this year. We dipped it and had it in qt. Looked healthy and doing well for a couple weeks. Couple days ago it appeared that it had a bacterial type infection and started dying off very fast. Within 2 or 3 days it was completley dead. Went to remove the skeleton out last night and noted a bunch of red, thin type worm looking things on it.

Water parems: alk 12, sg 1.026 phos and ammonia neg, calcium, mag etc wnl. Everything else in the tank is doing great and even have a couple other frags of goniopora and alveopora in the tank that does not seem to be bothered at all. Any ideas?

thought about that but these were a little long for flatworms. Could be however. They are threadlike consistency and I saw about 4 or 5 of them on the piece. Not fireworms as they were smooth looking.

I have to keep my gonioporas in high flow in a tank with lots of amphipod predators... those pesky things eat my goni's
