So I made a stupid newby mistake tonight and bought a beautiful coral based on the knowledge of my very trusted lfs employee.... appartently he had no idea what he was talking about. He sold me a beautiful Goniopora, it was only 20 bucks and from ive seen online is a heck of a deal. But I should have done my reasearch before i purchased it. He told me it would do fine in my tank and under my lights. After I got home and looked it up online to see what im dealing with and I find out its one of the hardest corals to keep, some even say harder then sps. Fantastic, im a beginner with an extremely hard to keep coral. But im up for a challange, I would really like to keep this coral. I will do everything possible to make it happy and healthy. Is it possible? Has anyone been able to keep this amazing coral alive or am I trying to go againest the odds?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    It's a nice piece indeed.

In my experience it actually does better in a tank not designed around keeping sps. There are some good foods on the market for non-photosynthetic corals that I have heard meet some of this corals nutritional needs.

It used to be a "rent a coral", but I have seen the success keeping this coral increase.

Just do not over skim and it might do ok.

Yeah, How'd ya know? I orginallly went in looking for a long tenticle plate coral but no one one jax has one. So I bought this instead

how do I not over skim? I probably am considering my skimmer is rated for a 75 gallon and my tank is only a 36 =[ Should I only skim for a couple hours a day or something?
