yeah, I have one myself. Feed it A LOT! Each head or the survival rate is very low. With that being said, it's extremely hard to keep more than 6 to 9 months even when feeding each head. It's not easy coral at all to keep.

I have one. It is an awesome coral if kept correctly! It needs medium flow and about medium lighting. My clown just started to host is today. As fishyfinder said, its not a very easy coral to keep.

Awesome coral, but seems to be a crap shoot. I've seen some kept for years without issue and some slowly wither and die after time. There are 25 or so species of Goniopora, some are reputed to do better than others...of all the "theories" I've seen, I've yet to really see what I would call any hard evidence that shows what it is that really make these flourish or decline. I have a green one with blueish mouths in my 125 display that is doing well and shows steady growth...some of the purple/red are supposed to be easier to keep, but I've had issues with many of those...I really have to say in my own experience it truly is a crap shoot from specimen to specimen...I think it may just be a case where some acclimate more easily to captive life than others.

There are two products I really like for Goni's...one is Reef-Roids...it was actually developed for feeding some species of Goni...the other is Coral Frenzy...I actually prefer it as it has a variety of particle sizes which I think is ideal for feeding multiple types of filter feeders.

I think every coral has a different personality! Some like high flow and some do not. Like people. :)

True to that! My goniopora ate some pretty large pieces of rod's food today and I wasn't even target feeding it! The other day it ate a NLS pellet! I thought they only ate smaller foods but I sat there in amazement and watched as this coral ate those foods!

That's one of the issues I think we have with Goni's...there are several very similar sp. that are hard to tell apart without seeing the skeleton...it's kind of like trying to ID Acro's...it's hard to say for sure unless you see the dead skeleton at which point it doesn't matter anymore.
