Have had it in the tank for two months and has yet to bloom. I see the tips of the branches and they poke out a very little bit but thats it. Sometimes my hermits crawl on him at night and just pick off stuff..the cleaner shrimp too.

    what should i do?
I have 29 gallon oceanic biocube. lighting should be fine i guess..he is in the middle of the tank.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Try areas of different flow in the tank. My experience with them is they do not need a lot of flow, mod to lesser worked best for me.

+1 to Corailline's advice. Flow and lighting. You could try lowering him as well. My alveapora gets amazing extension ever since I moved them lower in my big reef.

There are about 25 species of Goniopora...some do pretty will in captivity, others do well for a while, and some seem to never really open up. As mentioned flow can be a factor, and some seem to be very picky about excellent water paramaters.

When I was reading about them because I was thinking about getting one I read they preferred less than pristine water quality more of a nutrient rich water.
