Gonipora

Does anyone else have a Gonipora? mine seems to close up every time i feed my tank. is that be cause it is eating its self? any one have more experience with them then what i can find on the net?

The goni may or may not do well long term.
I have one in my tank doing great for the last 5 months, the previous one lasted 10 months or so before it wasn't opening much and was losing all its color.

 

Was it deleted?

i have a large goniopora in my tank and seen in the video i made for the guy who set my tank up, he has several as well. his are around 2 to 3 years old and has been able to frag them.

 

Mine does that too. I dunno if it's from the rucus of the fish stirring the water up or from jarring the tank.
People say they live only a year but I have one that defies that. I bought it a WHILE ago and it looked like it was dying and came back with 2 heads over a year ago. Now it's working on 4 heads... it's pretty neat.

 

I have a metallic green flowerpot.. it never gets to open up anymore b/c my Reeses loves it.. but I've had it for probably 6 months and it hasn't lost any tentacles or anything.. the fish just never gives him a chance.. This is what he looked like the 1st few months... til Reeses took him over.

 

UH, OH! I think Antonio left his 3reef account logged in at work again and his co-workers changed his avatar and signature, LOL. Why don't they just fill his locker with crabs or something?
