I'm not winning my battle with cyano, I've been fighting it as soon as I got my new light fixture and it just won't go away. My LFS says to use chemiclean so I'm going to cause I can't stand the red stuff anymore. Will it affect my anemone and just how hard is this stuff to use? Any tips to make this go "easy"??

It's not hard to use. Just remember that all of the phosphates that were bound in the bacteria are going to be liberated as they die so make sure you run GFO or other phosphate remover and do the recommended waterchange after 2 days.

Your livestock should be fine as you follow the instructions exactly. Your skimmer will bubble like crazy for a couple hours when you turn it back on. Be patient though, it will calm down.

fairly simple, make sure you have a good amount of circulation, and surface agitation, as the bacteria that gets rid of the cyano takes up oxygen. also follow up with a secondary dose in the third day AFTER you do a water change.

just remember that this gets rid of it temporarily, you still have to learn how to fight it in the long run. many people will say this

I don't know why i got it to be honest...the only thing I've changed in two years is the lights... I went from pc to T5 and boom... Started getting it. I use RO water, the same salt mix, clean my filters regularly as I have in since I started, keep a maintenance log. If I had Phosphates in my water source wouldn't it have popped up before now? And my nitrate test have never even had a trace according to th API nitatre test and my lfs store tests. It was worse, but I've been syphoning it out everyday... Cause it would grow back that fast... Now it's taking about three days but the tiny bubbles do start reappearing the before long it's there...

It's in just about every tank there is. It's just not at a population that is visual. Then one temperature spike, one overfeeding, one missed waterchange, or any change that is positive for their reproduction and BOOM....you have cyano.

The box states to add oxygen via an air stone. Aggitation is not enough.

When you go to turn the slimmer on for the first time have some salt water pre mixed and ready to go as the skimmer will be going crazy lol. And yes definitely use an air stone to add oxygen.
