There are many solutions. I link i had from before isn't working now but there are even dawn to dusk timers that will work. I actually used one for my LED Christmas lights last year and am now using it on one of my nano tanks. It just needs a window to pick up natural light to know when to dim so I put it near the window on an extension cord!

There are others you can set to dim to any percentage at any particular time you have it set for. Its interchangeable just like the others so no new light needed. That type may require you to have your actinic blue light on a different power supply because you want to just dim the white while the blue stays on. Or just use the manual dimmer when your home and the timer when your not... Its still better then nothing! I would still strongly recommend still having the moonlights and not complete darkness however the daytime lights go off. They'll appreciate your effort I'm sure!

Can you post links for the research you found?
I'd like to read all I can on this topic.
I just did a search on seahorse.org and checked out seahorse.com and can't find anything.

So would a simple solution be to just add moonlights to the tank and keep them on 24/7 that way they aren't as shocked by the lights turning on and off?

Logan from reefbreeders has a little 6 led 420/450 wavelength moonlight strip with a controller he's gonna give me a decent deal on!

You could always just use ambient lighting from the room.
If none there, use a clamp on socket or cheap lamp with small wattage CFL or LED near the tank.

Iv also heard you need a full Apex controller to have Sea Horses. ;)

Lights look good. See if you can get a white one to have better coloring.

When I hatch brine shrimp I scoop water out of my tank place in a pinch of cysts, they all hatch in a day or two, I use a napkin to mop up the shells from the top that float and dump them in to feed my fish... I keep it simple.

its a commonly known fact, i would probably probably have a harder time finding a seahorse site that didnt say anything about tank lighting than one that doesnt.

heres a link to how lighting affects breeding.
