yeah your temp is fine and like rayjay said may even speed up the hatching rate. as for bubbles cosmo i always just have my air pump on full blast and put it at the bottom of the hatchery so i dont get any dead areas beneath the air hose.

    lol, thanks chels!

Exciting news, the tank cycled. I think what happened is the trites got closer to 5ppm than I thought and killed the cycle, and then the WC yesterday with the added bio spira let it complete. So now to get the horses on the way;)

IMO, you need to verify the completion of the cycle by adding enough ammonia to get to 1ppm and see if it will clear overnight. You don't want to end up with a mini cycle that damages new seahorses.

fantastic! also with those lights you can probably grow some great softies (real ones!) for the horses to latch onto.

Thanks, I figured for $50 shipped brand new I can't lose, its alot nicer and taller than the current tank which I think is better for the horses.

Chels and rayjay, what soft corals are cool with horses? kenyas?

Can't help much there as I don't have corals in my seahorse tanks.
As for corals the dwarfs can latch on to, there sure won't be many because they are too small to have tails that can wrap around parts of most corals.
Even most gorgonians are too thick but maybe they can partially wrap and hold on.
Look for not stinging corals that would be suitable at the temperature you are going to operate at.
