lol Don, its really alot of improvising and rigging up for these guys. It seems hard at first, but with the right set up shouldn't really be more than 5-10 minutes of work a day. on top of the regular maintenance. But we will see how easy thye are to keep!

Unfortunately I haven't heard from roxysreef since thursday and the horses were supoosed to ship friday for saturday delivery. I have a feeling somehting happened to her that got her tied up, but I opened a dispute solely because of my reefwerks experience.

lol, I hope so too. ccritters is alot cheaper, 12 horses shipped for like $60, but I like tank raised instead of wildcaught whenever I can so I'll give her time and hope for the best;)

+1 to this, especially with seahorse. There used to be a big breeding facility in Hawaii i was looking to get some from.

I don't know why anyone would order from there when you have seahorsesource.com in Florida offering top quality, true captive bred stock and advice. Dan Underwood is always posting and helping hobbyists on seahorse.org.
Whatever you do, don't pay extra for coloured seahorses because they seldom remain those colours in your tanks.

for the bigger horses, you have a point, but for dwarfs, he's way out of the pricing spectrum! But I honestly did forget about them, I'll keep them in mind if i start a bigger horse tank.

with dwarf seahorses its always complicated, here you have seahorse.com selling their PIXIE ponies (aka dwarf seahorses) for 75 bucks a piece. then youve got seahorse source selling a pair for 20 bucks. you really just always have to be aware of all the sites selling them at the time.

captive bred dwarves are better as i hear they are very close to becoming endangered. cramer from seacritters gets all his dwarves right off the seagrass beds of the florida keys, along with all the other stock on his site. its a great way to get quality unique livestock for really cheap, but not so good on mother nature.
