    I can remove the lid on this easily or mod the other one to get the proper gas exchange, forgot to mention that part.

    Do this tank, you can drill holes into the top and it has great viewing.

    I think you are on the right track my friend.

    BUT: That filter might have too much flow for horses.

    What about heater?

    Have you looked at the AquaClear 20? You can mod it pretty well from inTank.

    I have an AC75 that I may try to mod. It'll turn down to pretty low flow.

    well, these guys like cooler temps like 70-78 so I'm thinking its not overly necessary, but I have about 3 different extra heaters laying around now that I think about it that may work, I may end up buying a nicer smaller one that will fit better;)
