yeah, I though about putting my acuaclear on it as well and put LR in as a fuge type filter.

enjoy, but read up, it seems like fun. I'm gonna play with this for a month or so and then either make a planted tank for them or move up to the bigger horses;)

This is the boxes for a dwarf seahorse tank! Don't worry! Not too bad! Just dumb shipping practices!

Well I do know some about seahorses but then I've been on seahorse dot org for ten years now.
I have no doubts there are more knowledgeable hobbyists on the org and most of them haven't been there as long as I have.
At my age, it's harder to learn things than it is for you youngsters.
The artificial corals in your picture are the same as mine and I had to glue them to rock rubble to keep them stable.

OK, bro, just curious, it seems like every site I'm on, I run into a rayjay that knows his stuff!

Thanks for the help, and yes, I'm gonna cut these up and glue them to the rock work!

In total I have registered as rayjay on about 13 forums that I have been going to. I'm tapering off to the ones I post on most as I'm downsizing and getting rid of all my reef tanks and just sticking with seahorses for my last years.
The majority of things I post about are seahorses or brine shrimp where I have a bit more knowledge than some have.
I forgot to answer on the cannister question.
I personally only use cannisters short term for specific reasons because I tend to get lazy.
Cannisters need to be cleaned out on a weekly basis because the become bedding grounds for nasty bacteria like vibriosis that is one of the major problems for any seahorse.
