    If you look at my build thread.. the center acropora can see the difference between before and after..

    I was curious as to your dosing regimen. My tank is the same size as your with +12g for the fuge. How would I go about dosing vodka in my tank?

    I have considered vodka dosing in the past... however I have heard that it turns your sand bed into a toxic wasteland. After a while of dosing you have to be very careful not to disturb your bed because it gets completely toxic.

    Have you heard this?

    I have not heard this. Not sure why it should be so. The purpose of the vodka is to provide food for bacterial growth. So I don't know why the sandbed would be affected.

    yes i cant see how either because the carbon source should be the only thing being added to your water and this will allow the bacteria to out-comete the algae for the source of food... but ill try and find the source of this sandbed info
