Back in the game after some time off! Going with a FOWLR system, live sand. I will have fish, many crabs, snails, etc. What are some of the new or still used additives to help with the growth of corraline algae, macro algae, and overall health of the snails/crabs? Any "all in one" types that seem to be working for you? Thanks!

I like the B-ionic 2 part system, or you could use any good brand of calcium and iodine for the criiters that molt and coralline algae. As for the macro, it should grow a little too wll on its own ;)

i have used combo vital in the past. i found it had no noticable benifits. and the product does not say what is in it! strange! IMHO combo vital is modern day snake oil!!!

dont want to be a jek but i would cancel your order....the stuff is bad news. there are no ingredients on wess's products. I work a fish store with reef systems, i own 3 reefs, and have tried alot of the products out there, THERE IS NO ALL IN ONE!!!!!!  If it sounds too good to be true it is ()tried black powder and it caused nasty bacterial algae blooms, many others have reported the same. Get some good, well know products that boast thier the ingredients, not just the benefits, eg. b-ionic, kent marine, something many have used, i litterally called 8-10 fish store with reefs and inquired what type of suppliments they use, all were pleased with the one i recomended first.... ;)

B-Ionic is an excellent product and easy to use and what I have been using for years with great results. It will maintain your calcium and alk levels while adding your trace elements. Alot of the products like those food block will just lower your water quaility. I also recommend staying away from the Weiss product line in my opinion. Stick with high quaility foods that we know what are in them such as DT's Phytoplankton, Liquid Life Bio-Plankton and COral Plankton, Cyclop-eeze among others
