Good algae eating fish?

    Whys a good brightly colored fish that eats algae? I've got some I want gone lol

    what kinda algae and how much?

    also, why do you have it? A fish is a band aid for algae! need to figure out why your getting it!

    Better to go with different members of a cuc like snails.

    Adding a fish to help algea is not wise. Ultimately youll be increasing you bioload, which in the long run will make that worse.

    Look for some cuc, or better yet the cause of the algae (ie. overfeeding, extended photoperiod, decaying organisms...)

    What size is your tank and what are your parameters? i.e. nitrate, phosphate, how long are your lights on, what type of lights are you using, things like that?

    Get some turbo snails. Those things devour algae at a rapid pace!

    Oh nevermind I just realized the algae I saw was old diatoms left over from the cycling process. Just didn't see that area before- all gone now
