    Ok, will get some rics, colts (so people don't say "nice plants in there" and want to make me tear my hair out, and besides they are very cool) and some hammers or candycanes. Will wait a month or 2 for the montis though.

    fwiw I started with some montis not too long after my tank was set up and I was using pc lights at first(now T5) and my montis did very well. I think alot of the sucess depends on how attentive you are to your tank and the water params. I think the flow from the k3 would not be too much though, just dont point it at your corals. I have a 55g tank and I have 3 returns from a mag12 return pump in the sump, 1k2, 1 k3, and a 180 gph powerhead for flow in my tank.
