    hey im thinking on picking up a kit from rapidled.com it would be a 24 ultra kit (12 XP-G's and 12 XP-E's) and then order an 12 led dimmable artinic kit (12 XP-E's) so that would be a 2:1 ratio of xp-g's to xp-e's. now what i was wondering is that enough white led's? the pattern would be on a 8.5"x30" heatsink as follows...
    B=blue W=white

    B W B B W B B W B
    W B B W B B W B B
    B B W B B W B B B
    B W B B W B B W

    would that be good from a height of around 6"?
    also would it be enough for SPS?

    I would say the answer is yes to all of your questions. You may want to mount the unit at about 12" as it should be very powerful and may bleach your corals.

    I would consult Rapidled for suggestions on the setup for your tank.

    I don't know since I haven't tried it but I don't think it would be that much harder. You tank will definitely look white to possibly a little yellow with the configuration you are thinking of trying.

    Yup yup. Thats the beauty of being able to dim down certain LED strings. You can tailor it to whatever color you want.
