good light for my biocube14

    This is a 17" 1x 250w 15000k and 2x14w t5 actinic it is 2 " longer than my tank 15" but 1" overhang on each side is fine what do all you think I should get only $125.00 for my biocube 14

    That might be to much light for a 14, i would expect major heat issues with that lamp.

    +1. That would be good only if you enjoy having a 14 gallon microwave. There is a kit out there that is a 75W MH for the biocubes, I would go with that. Jakeh24 just got one for his, maybe send him a message for the details.

    That would cook your fish with light, not even considering the heat. It would be like standing on the face of the sun. For a 14G, I would go with a 150w MH MAX and have it about 12-16" above the water. I'm going to put my 250w MH over my 20G soon, but it will be about 24" above the water, to give you an idea.

    Even a 75 watter would be fine
