Hi I have a 48 inch 4x54 watt aquaticlife light. This is for a 55 gallon tank. I have two Atinic blue bulbs and 2 10k bulbs. I would like more intense color in my aquarium. What is a good combo of bulbs for this. And I would also like growth of coral also. Thanks

For corals, try to give them as much of the spectrum as you can. This also provides variety in color.

Your kinda asking for a little bot of the best of both worlds. lower spectrum bulbs 6700k are gonna give you the most growth but they are also duller and have the evil yellow look. higher spectrum bulbs like 20k's are gonna give you the bluw water & the coral "POP". I hate that term but that besides the point.

The first hard part is going to be finding a go between you are happy with. The next hard part is 4 bulb on a 55 limits your color choice and selection as far as the number of bulbs being the limiting factor.

i want my tank to be blue. I have the original actinic blue bulbs that came with my aquaticlife fixture and i just bought 1 KZ Figi Purple T5 bulb and 1 Super actinic R t5 Bulb. I think this will bring the blue to my tank but will 3 actinics and 1 figi purple bulb be okay for coral growth?

Buy 2 ATI Blue Plus, 1 ATI Aquablue Special and 1 ATI Purple Plus. Place the blue bulbs in the front and back positions.
