Good 'ol California

Half of the macro algae from ReefCleaners.org | Clean Up Crews and Macro Algae - Home are banned in the state of California - go figure. Same goes with ferrets and hedgehogs. Man, this state sucks.

edit: Did I say half? I meant most.

I'd say! NO ferrets or hedgehogs? C'mon! S'not like they're gonna destroy Cali once they get in!

 

I grew up in the PRK and lived there for a while (moved about 3 years ago), and I definitely do NOT miss it.

 

Although ferrets are illegal to own in the state of California, there are an estimated 100,000 residentially owned ferrets in the state. Someone needs to tell me how, with that knowledge, California can still keep ferrets on the ban list. Regardless, everything and the kitchen sink is on the ban list in California.

 

Ferrets are banned based on the assumption that they will escape, become feral, breed, and destroy the natural food chain. Doesnt even need to be said on exactly how stupid this theory is.
As said before, I dont miss the PRK. I love living in Nevada, where basically anything goes. I'm a big supporter of "if it doesnt effect me, I really dont care"

 

But, ferrets arent even shipped to petstores until they're nuetered. In fact, if you dont spay the females, they will bleed to death by their 3rd or 4th heat cycle. And the poor lil things get so upset if they even think that theyre lost. They run to the first person they see and just cling to you.

 

I know. Its stupid. California isnt the only state that outlaws ferrets either.
My ferret would be way to busy out in the city collecting anything shiny/noisy to have time to eat, drink, or breed ;D

 

I know, and my three girls wont let me out of sight or they freak out and start to bark. When i come back into sight they all run towards me and cuddle like lost kids in a supermarket!

 

You know! No ferrets, but stupid people are still allowed to breed! Gotta love Cali!
