Hi im not exactly a newbie, my tank has been up and running for over 7 months now (does that make me still a newbie?)

Anyway i noticed a little spikey slug like creature the other night and have now just noticed about 6 of the little critters on my zooanthid coral!

I looked them up and think they are called tritonia? and are a kind of nudibranch?
Are these safe or should i get rid of them??

Im actually not entierly sure thats what they are!!??

    Anyone got any ideas?

Also i have 2 finger corals that have been closed for 2 days now all my params are fine, i noticed a kind of smoke (sounds weird) coming from one of them, do corals spore????

    Any help/advice much appreciated!

    many thanks,

    col

if there is one there are always more. Good luck with catching them all. You will eventually.

You'll want to do a Lugol's Solution dip to kill the nudi's. Use some RO/DI water, buffer it to a pH similar to the tank. Add the Lugol's Solution and dip for 5 to 10 minutes. If there are eggs, you'll have to repeat this after the eggs have hatched. If you don't have Lugol's Solution, you can use a Praziquantel medicine (I like Hikari Prazi Pro). If you don't have that, you can use Malachite Green.
