I've found two growths in my 75g tank that I have not seen before on 3reef and have no clue what they can be. Maybe someone out there can help me. First one is a piece of what looks like a sponge....at first I thought it was a corner of a synthetic sponge that broke off of a piece of equipments but it's growing! It grows very slowly but is definitely getting a bit larger. I glued it to a small rock in case it's something I'll want to keep:

    both pics are algaes

I can't see the first one good enough to ID it

Second picture is neomeris annulata or turtleweed. Rarely a problem and usually dies on it's own. I've only seen this one out of control in one tank. (It's a calcareous algae so watch your Calcium levels).
