if there is a macro function on your camera it will help. usualy looks like a flower. Sometimes it is best to find a tripod or something solid to take pic set timer to take pic so hand doesn't move camera. This helps in low light situations.

Adjust the white balance so your tank is clear instead of blue

I just use my Canon Powershot on Macro mode, then usually i have to change the ISO to 800 and I can set the white balance to manual. I get better pics than with my D60 with a 100mm macro lens!!!!!!

I have a sony, I put it on macro, adjust the white balance to whatever looks best, and use the lowest ISO possible (the higher iso the grainer, use higher iso for moving objects such as fish). You can also use the flash if the lights are off, sometimes that works good too.

First of all! The surface of your lens should be aligned perpendicularly to the surface of the glass wall! Moreover, you should use spot metering mode for autofocus! On top of that disable your built-in flash and boost ISO to 800-1600.

Good advice guys! I just picked up a Nikon D60 and I'm trying to figure out the settings on it. I'm going to pick up some filters for it too.. (polarizer, fld, etc) to see if this will help with some of the glare from the sand.
