    Those are for the house(drinking), I recommend one thats made esp. for aquariums. Luna

    Most drinking water systems are RO only.

    you could always add on a DI canister, I don't think they are that expensive, maybe $50-60 with resin.

    i just saw this and really want to get my tank started. i know everyone says go slow, but i've been staring at an empty tank for months now. wanna have it filled and cycling by x-mas

    The difference is, that those units that you see in Sears, HD and Lowes are made for the home. They dont filter water enough, so some minerals and elements get through. We need those minerals for our bodies. The units that are made for aquariums only, take out 99%(+/-) of all inpurities. Cleaner water or dead water as I like to call it. Luna

    By the time you bought that and put a dionize cartridge on it you could buy a 5 stage RODI from Air, Water & Ice for probably the same price. If your in a hurry go to their website ASAP and order it with overnight shipping! Plus they are a sponsor here on 3reef!
