I only have 2 fish for now in my 29 gallon oceanic tank. And salt level is 1.023. Is this okay with just fish only? I am planning on adding 2 more fish and coral later in the future. Can i stick with 1.023 level?

There are lots of responses to this question. IMO, the "best" salinity is the one that matches the oceans. This is 1.026. Will your fish live at 1.023? Yes. Is there any reason to keep the salinity lower than the oceans? Not of which I'm aware.

Well said Sparky. It wouldn't hurt much for you to gradually raise the salinity for them.

Only to add-on what Sparky stated, if its going to be FO or Fowlr an SG between 1.021-1.023 is fine. If its a Reef tank, it should be between 1.025-1.026
