I bought a reef octopus NWB-110 skimmer and it requires a high sump water level. Any good skimmer for around 165 that takes reasonably low water levels? my sump is 5.5 gallons and with backsiphon i cant have enough water to satisfy this skimmer... Any suggestions?

    EDIT: Its for a 22 gallon ;)

I usually find the best deals on craigslist. I once bought a berlin xl for 50 bucks and currently have a cpr bak pak which I got in a trade. For your budget I would say to keep an eye out on there among other things. Good Luck

Well it wasnt so much the money part i was asking about and what my major concern is, its what skimmer can handle and efficiently skim in low water conditions for a 22 gallon, that is overkill for the tank. In other words, rated for tanks well over 22 gallons but still stays in the ~200 budget.

Hmmm, is the 22 a high or a long. You could probably do a HOB cpr bak pak or a red sea prizm or something. As for the sump, thats pretty small, I cant really think of anything "in sump" that would work.

    Maybe this http://cleveland.craigslist.org/for/1488652441.html
