So as you can tell by my sig, I have a 96W T5 fixture that is located roughly 4in above the surface. I have two Koralia 1s and a Rio 1400 return pump putting out roughly 380gph so there is some decent flow going on in my tank, a 29 gal Biocube. My question is, where would be a good spot to place some SPS corals, as far as low, mid, or upper level? I know they like lots of light and strong flow. Also, when acclimating an SPS, should I start out with it on the bottom and then gradually move it up?

I would put them as high as you can get them under those lights. As far as acclimating them, they should be fine to start out higher up. If you haven't already bought them, look for montis and possibly birdnests. Acros will not do well under PC lighting.

That's not really a lot of flow for sps. As far as lights go, you should be fine. I would start them in the middle some place and see how they do. They may change colors and you can move them around accordingly. If they start to brown out, move them higher.

I don't have PCs, I have a 4 bulb T5 fixture right now. I completely removed the Biocube hood and got a good T5 fixture.

So I should place them in areas around the Koralias or return where flow is the highest? I also have one of those flow deflectors on my return that rotates simulating a wavemaker.

The rotating thing should be good. You don't want them blasted constantly. You should try to achieve some random flow if possible.

Yeah, it does give some good random flow. I was very pleased with it.

Alright, so the consensus is mid to upper level in the most random but highest flow area possible?

He has almost 1200gph flow in a 29 gallon tank. That's about 40x.

Yup that should work. When it comes to bulb change time buy ATI blue plus to replace the actinics. You will get 3x more PAR which is good for your SPS. Replace your 10kk with ATI aquablue which is about the same color but again much more PAR. Guisemann, UVL and KZ are other good brands. You could put in one UVL actinic white for one of the aquablues to get your pinks, reds and purples to show better. If you can I would consider replacing the stock bulbs right away.
