my main tank is fallow ATM, and will remain so for 5+ more weeks. I really want to get a mandarin eventually and was wondering if now would be a good time to add in the pods to let them multiply undisturbed until this dam ich works it self out of my tank.

the DT is not being treated with any meds, and the only things in there are a few corals, hermits, snails, brittle star, and loads of live rock. would now be a good time to add pods? if so how much should I start with for a 125?

    thanks.

My tank is going on 6 months old. I added 0 pods, I have them so much now they actually come out grab pellet food and take it bcak under the rocks when I feed. I honestly would say get some good live rock and they should just start breeding if you keep your tank in params.

the tank is around 3 months old now, all my rock came from an established 180 reef. I have not seen much of any pods forming yet, and thats why i'm considering getting a bottle of them from the LFS.

Not saying you should not but if you are going to do it make sure you put them in during the dark cycle. I had a freind who basicly fed his fish a 22 dollar bottle of pods.

i usually only clean the front as the tank is recessed in a wall cut-out. thats going to be really hard not cleaning the front for 5 more weeks, i'm super anal about it and clean it inside and out almost every day. why is it important to not clean it, do they live on the glass, or feed off the algae?
