I was looking for ideas on the was that people have attached there float switches. I have 2 reef fanitic switches and the suction cup that it comes with are not the best. What are some different options I have using the floats but not the frame that there on?

Place a dab of silicone on the suction cup before attaching it and they will stay in place.

    This is what I have.

The suction cups do not suck so well on these and it is one thing I do not want to move once I get them in place but I still want to be able to adjust them in the sump untill I have them dialed in.

Do magnets effect the float switch?

yes they do. if you use a magnet you have to give a little space between the magnet and the switch. about and inch worked for me

I will make some type of spacer and pick up some mag clips. I should be able to make something work. I will keep you posted on what i come up with.
