good words for the sea cucumber

    Som3, from what I've heard for the "brown spikey" guys you need at least a 20 gallon, but 30+ is better. For the others, I really don't know. Some can get pretty darn big though.

    the tiger tail cucumbers need larger than a 90 i know... or at least thats what my marine invert book says. Apparently they can grow to over 4 feet. Mine was about 2-3" and has grown to atleast 8-12" its massive.

    I love mine, I have 2 blacks in my 180. One pushes 18 inches fully extended and the little guy is about 4 inches. Clean sand nugget pooping machines! The big one never leaves the sandbed and the little fellow crawls over the rockwork, glass, all over the place never getting in the way of the 4 internal pumps. I beleive the Medusa worms are the ones that can wipe out a tank, I had one die in a nano once and wiped the whole tank out.

    So does that mean you need those fish Fry sponge things around all your filter intakes? How can i possibly do that with a koralia evolution powerhead....?

    I used to have three Koralia's in my tank. I purchased one of those carbon filter pads that are 12"x12". I cut them into three strips and wrapped the strips around the powerhead securing them with a rubberband.

    If your sea cucumber has a pearlfish hitchhiker then your sea cucumber wont have any genitalia. ;)
