Thanks for the encouragement man, I appreciate it. I'm going to try to stay off them - maybe I will go get some gum. Did you try gum / patches / etc?

I did the patch 7 years ago. Worked for me, but the fact is-ya gotta want it. Really, really want it. All the assistance and support in the world ain't gonna do it unless it's in YOU.

At the risk of sounding cynical, you're in your 20's, so you have some time before "having" to quit. I quit at 37, and my body was starting to tell me that "it's now, or shutdown's gonna commence."

Good luck, Zach. I'm sure you'll do it! :)

I started to cut down little by little, to a point that I was smoking only two stogie's a day. One in the morning with my coffee and one after work. after that it was just straight up cold turkey. Just keep your mind busy, be on 3reef 24/7 for a couple of months..........lol

I dont like using patches or drugs for that matter. Drugs tend to fix one thing and cause hovac somewhere else.

Hi guys! Wanted to add my experience :)

Tomorrow will be one month exactly!!
I caught a terrible cold and could not breathe, let alone smoke. I guess that's what did it. I could not get out of bed for 3 days and we do not smoke in the house so I didn't have any. Really helped.

    I can now say this:

I am not quitting smoking. I am a non smoker!

I gave up 1 year ago and haven't touched a cigarette since, my girlfriend really helped me through it. I just went cold turkey.
Everyone kept saying to me think of the money you'll save. I've been thinking about that recently, it makes no difference because now I'll live longer so my finances have to go further DOH!
