Just got this beautiful yellow gorgonian but my hermit crabs keep climbing on it at night, the polyps come out about three times daily but i am worried about the crabs on it.Is this normal?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
That is lovely, fantastic color. Hermits do that, I think it's a way of getting to an area where food might travel by. I have known hobbyist that report their hermits climb to the tips of their corals the same time each day usually in the afternoon.

I personally keep my tank rid of crabs. any crab can go rogue in a heartbeat (minus acro crabs).

    Nice Gorg though, looks NPS?

Try 3 feedings every 3 hours. NPS Gorgs/corals basically need continuous feeding all day. (with the exception of sun corals)

Don't mean to burst your bubble. But these guys should either be left in the ocean, or only sold for tanks that specialize in NPS, which require LOTS of food, and PRESTINE water quality.
