I was looking into possibly buying some gorgonians and my LFS said they would fair well under a good PC light and they are fairly low maintenance assuming you have a moderate water flow. Has anyone had/have these and can provide some feedback on this coral? :) Thanks!

Love Gorgs.... easy as long as you stay with the photosynthetic ones.

Keep away from the berries. (Blueberry, Orangeberry, etc). Impossible to keep alive for long.

the reds, and blues would need to be target fed a few times a week , not all are low maintenance

A buddy of mine has a Yellow Fingered Greg in a 29 gallon. They're easy to take care of! People just think they're hard because you have to feed them yourself. Oh the horror...you have to feed it. yes. It's not hard to do, just a bit of phyto or marine snow a few times a week is all it needs.

Personally, I would pass. Target feeding won't be enough to keep them alive for more than a year.

I only know of one person that was able to keep carnivorous gorgs alive and he had to have a tank dedicated to that end. Took massive amounts of work, time, and money. Even then, he was still unsure that he could sustain them long term.

Yup on the purple, the one i have, has been with me for almost 2 years.Purple rod it was sold to me as,it was a 3 inch fresh cut frag. It's coming close to a foot tall, and 10 inches across now.I'll snap a pic of a multi branched frag i have at the front of the tank, and post it on here asap.
