Gorilla Crab?

    Found this little guy on a frag I got today

    I have it in a bowl right now thinking the sump is a good place for it.

    I have no idea what type of crab it is, but I would say the sump sounds like an excellent idea.

    Hmmm... I think it's either a crab from the Mithraculus genus or is related to them. Therefore since it also has rounded off algae picking claws (safe or not safe general rule of thumb) I deem him safe, but in the end it's your decision...

    Thanks everyone. I don't have a lot of coral but I like what I have and don't want to lose any, so, he has been banished to the sump where he can live a happy and nondestructive life.

    it's shaped exactly like an emerald crab.....but you made a good decision, if in doubt, and you have a sump....problem solved
