    So how does this differ from the green star polyps? Will it spread and take over my tank as others say abut GSP?

    Depending on the lighting and which way they are faced, the mat can grow in all sorts of directions. Looks really cool.

    Star Polyps yep get ready for a fight. You should move them to the sand bed. and segregate them so they dont spread!. Super cool coral, it will just spread all over and kill everything else but mushrooms. So Beware!
