She was small. Compare her to this limpet she was trying to eat.

The male perstered her when they were introduced and she took the leap. The other female that went in was also chased the first night and by night two, all is good.

I thought she was hiding, I should have looked harder.

Im having trouble gauging her size still. I have limpets under a quarter of an inch and some over 3/4". She looks great in that pic though. You could also make a lid out of that plastic mesh for needlepoint crafts. I use that for betta dividers. Its very cheap and rigid enough so you just cut it and it doesn't need a frame

Let's see, how about this? That's an 18g tank. There's a nass climbing around on the rock in the middle. That's a limpet over there on the right side panel.

so like 2-3 inches? And it looks like she was very loved. She seems to have had a very well documented life. Thinking about trading in my undulate trigger for one of these or a volitan. That trigger doesn't seem to like me unlike my past triggers.

Ya, between 2-3 inches. See the tinier one in there as well? Kind of green colored.

i have never had problems with lions jumping even without a hood on the tank. it could be because of an underlying cause such as aggression in the tank or bad water? just thinking outloud but i have never heard of anyone having this problem. especially dwarf lions, people say they can be kept in any tank larger than 20 gallons but id say at least a 30 gallon tank

it probably jumped because it got scared when the power surged back on... IMO
