    i got these two mangroves from my lfs for 1.00!!! they are rooting and sprouting but i accidentaly knocked one of the leaf sprouts off!!! can i put it back on or do i have to wait for it to sprout again? anyways im hapy because i need these for my leaf fish build and they were only 1 dollars for both!!! so any ideas on the leaf thing, i attached a pic.

    Nice find. Those look pretty mature (for our purposes anyway). It should re-sprout the leaves pretty fast.

    yea i hope it will. they get natural sunlight in the evenings. my reef tank is positioned perfectly so it doesnt get any, but this little refugium/leaf fish tank gets all tank NS.

    wow :eek: my mangroves leaves were slouched and dangling but when that NS hit them they are all perked up now!!! very cool! these are by far my favorite thing in this tank (and the only thing)!!!

    great find. i live down in miami and mangroves are plentiful here....wash the leaves wish freshwater once in a while and theyll love it. i suggest that you trim the leaves (ie take some leaves off) so that it doesnt grow too fast and stays shorter. and well done with the 3reef page in the background ;) :D !!!

    Make sure to keep the tops out of the water, they tend to do better that way.
