got a new AquaticLife light

well took my old coralife pc fixture to the lfs to try a bulb and to see if it would work and neather side would light up. Was hoping it would work long enouth for me to save up for a sweet MH light but not so lucky lol. the LFS had these in stock AquaticLife LLC | Premium Marine Aquarium Products and spoke very highly of them for both quality and customer service. ill have to say the internal three channel digital timer is pretty nice and its built pretty sturdy.

I would love to see a before and after shot, so we could compare that with the PC fixture that was on before

Congrats on the new light. You will want to change out the stock bulbs within 6 months they are not the best quality. Buy ATI, Geisemann, KZ or UVL brand bulbs.

 

Interested to see how this light plays out. Seems to be gaining in popularity. Here is another thread with this lighting system. What I see so far I like. But the proof will be in the way the inverts respond.

ok got a compare pic for you guys from my old coralife pc light back when it was new with 2 10k coralife bulbs and 2 coralife blues, and about the same view with the same camera of my new AquaticLife. The pc looks dimmer with more of a yellow tint to me.

 

i use this fixture on my FW planted tank and absolutely love the built in timer for dawn dusk and moonlights. Great light so far. I would be interested in knowing how well the ballast and reflectors compare to other fixtures.

 

I have one too and love it.
