Hows the metabolisme on these guys? i usually feed once a day, (Krill, squid silverside parts, clam) but he's seems like such a pig, even more so than my puffer. I didnt read anything that said they need to eat more than once a day, but just want to make sure he's getting his proper feedings.

    thanks!

You better wrap ducktape around wires if you have some inside you tank, because I heard the can take bites out of the rubber and make things shock the tank and even you.

The ground probe is very important.

anyways, u should feed atleast twice a day if not 3 times, triggers, to be healthy, need to eat alot!!!! i had a picasso and he was a pig!!, i feed a smaller amount in the morning, give em a big lunch and a smaller dinner, my triggers are plump and happy!!! plus if u dont feed him enought he will start to eat things you dont want him too and get very mean, thats why i got rid of mine!!! of course as it is now, i have 3 nigers that are twice as mean??? go figure.....

Twice a day eh. well the lights dont come on for quite a while after i've left for work in the mornings. Do you think if i just toss a couple pieces of Krill in there in the mornings with the lights off he will find it?

and i do have some wires in the tank but did not think they would be able to bite through them, but come to think about it. at the LFS when the lady put the bag in the water to scoop him out...he did take a chunck out of the bag. she had to get a thicker one. lol. guess when he gets bigger he could do some work on those wires.

The wife stole the camera last night but i should have it back tonight to post some pics.

    Thanks!

mine never ate wire, i guess they might if he gets hungry enough!!! krill is good, makes em fat, i also feed mysis, frozen shell on raw shrimp ( they love it!!) blood worms on occasion, some flakes, live crayfish as a treat, feeder fish once in a while as a treat (they like the chase)

Where do you get the live crayfish and feeder fish? my lfs doesnt offer them. best i got for fish is getting some mollys or something from walmart. I've got a puffer and a Lionfish in there with him aswell. (no the puffer doesnt pick at the lions fins...as of yet anyways) im sure they would all enjoy the hunt. =)

Oo i think i will stop and get some molly's on the way home and video tape that! that would be awsome.
