Well we took a trip to LFS in search of a dwarf lion fish. After being disappointed that they only had a fuzzy, and a huge Volitan we headed to the local Petco as i remembered seeing a baby Volitan there. Well after some debate between that or a yellow tang for the reef tank we went with the Volitan.

He is about 4" body and about 5-6" with the fins. I know he will outgrow the tank within a few years (42 gallon) he will be moved to a new home in a 100 gallon that we have sitting around (waiting to get our own house before i take the time to put that together).

SO far he ate some frozen krill with only a little bit of effort. He shares the tank with a 1 year old Lunare Wrasse, a huge red leg hermit crab and 2-pink sea urchins. There are no live corals in the tank i will get a full tank picture later.

Thanks guys. I have never really took the time to look at one when im at the aquarium, or the LFS just looking around. Not to mention the lighting isnt usually as bright but this is a gorgeous fish. He poked at the hermit crab but quickly swam off when he realized it wouldnt fit in his mouth, and the wrasse looked at him for a min and just kind of swam off looking for more food. I think it will work great with the rest of the tank.
