Picked up a tiger pistol shrimp and an orange spotted watchman goby at a LFS today. Came from different tanks but you'd never know it because after adding the pistol shrimp.... Within five minutes they were together....they decided to reside for the time being in the front corner of my tank. I heard the snapping from the pistol and surprised me how something so small can make a pretty loud noise..

Damn and I just took my cleaner shrimp out the hard way with a net. Pistol shrimp would of been way better to watch. Thanks for posting the link.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    And now the fun begins.

I really enjoyed mine while I had them. Active and burrowing all the time but you get a break from the construction when the shrimp molts.

    Congratulations.

I have a yellow watchman/pistol combo. Love to watch them. Just be careful if you have frags (or anything live really) on your sandbed. The pistol might bury it or use it for tunnel building:p

Thanks for the advice only thing that's on the sand bed besides rock are a couple of clams and a plate coral. I'll keep an eye out for them. Hopefully he makes his burrows under the rock instead of them...

Agree with this totally. Had them myself a couple years ago and they are very cool but constantly covering and digging under frags and corals on bed.

Watch your clam as I have a feeling you will be cleaning sand off it pretty regularly.

Will do. I have both clams on frag plugs right now waiting for them to attach to so I can place them on my rock work. Once they attach they are both getting moved so it should be a non issue soon. Glad i didn't go with fine sand, as I can imagine the sandstorm mixed up by this guy.
