    Pest anemone called aiptasia. Google and you will find many ways to get rid of them.

    Should I just use the vinegar method or remove the affected rock? I also spotted a really small one on the rock next to it

    Personally i would remove both rocks and do it outside the tank.

    I removed both and treated with a shot of vinegar. Both dissolved. and I also rubbed the spot with the towel.
